Signs Your Well Needs Cleaning or Rehabilitation

Wells lose performance over time as sediment, mineral scale, and bacteria build up. If you're noticing any of these, rehabilitation may restore what you've lost:

  • Less water than you used to have — weaker flow, slower recovery

  • Sand or grit in your water, fixtures, or filters

  • Cloudy or discolored water that used to run clear

How We Clean and Restore a Well

Over the years, sediment settles, mineral scale coats the screen, and bacteria clog the openings water flows through. Rehabilitation removes that buildup and reopens the well. What your well needs depends on what's causing the problem — which is why we diagnose first.

How much does it cost to rehabilitate a well?

 

It depends on the well's depth, diameter, and what's causing the decline — sediment cleanout is a smaller job than heavy scale or bacteria treatment. We assess first and give a free estimate. In most cases rehab is a fraction of the cost of a new well.

Will cleaning my well actually restore the water flow?

 

Often, yes — when the loss is from buildup rather than a structural or water-table problem. We diagnose first so we're not treating a well that's beyond saving. If rehab won't get you there, we'll tell you.

Is the sand in my water a well problem or a pump problem?
